A little History
We started in 2005 as CS West Cycling Hub. This original
company was focused on mobile repair and service. We quickly
expanded to online part and accessory sales. This allowed us
to keep a larger range of parts in stock so that we could service
bikes quickly and with the best matching part in both price and use.
Not to long after that we needed space. We moved into a
hole-in-the-wall (closet) because our extra space in our house was
no longer cutting it. This lasted for one year before we
outgrew that spot and moved into our current location.
The people
Mindy started
cycling the traditional way... She
married a cyclist. Her first ride also came with her first
crash. For many years she happily played on her Mtn bike. During
this time she swore that she'd never touch a road bike...
Now about riding on those
skinny little wheels...
She was a wee bit hesitant about this. Ok, more to the point
she said "theres no way in *(^?> that your getting me on one of
those". So at 8 months pregnant she did her first 25 mile road
ride... and once again was hooked. After that ride she slowly
evolved into a mountain and road cyclist. At the same time she
started discovering how bad her husband was at working on bikes, so
she became the house wrench.
After 3 kids and many
years of riding she decided it was time to get back to work.
She decided to make it official. With the encouragement of all
the people whose bikes she had touched over the years she decided to
attend all of the classes available at
Barnett Bicycle Academy. Since then she has also
continued to update her skills and has added Fit Kit certification
to her skill set along with rebuilding just about every odd piece of
bicycle parts that has been made.
Her current bikes: GT Marathon 9'r, GT Peace 9'r, Waterford
Custom Road, Blue Custom RC7, Da Vinci Tandem, and a Jamis Cross
Bike.
Rush started cycling at age 8 in
south Louisiana with the Baton Rouge Bicycle Club. He continued to
ride both competetively and recreationally until about age 14. At
that point the bike became transportation. Cycling continued to be
in the background, but skating took most of his attention. After
many years of battering his body skating and playing hockey he
decided that it was time to start cycling again. Oh yeah the 2 hr
each way commute in the Bay Area of California had something to do
with it. When faced with the ongoing choice of 1-2 hrs in the car or
1-1.5 hours on the bike... Yes, a diehard bicycle commuter was born.
Oh yeah he also tend to do long touring also.
Then add kids into the mix. Both of us quickly relized that
cycling was one of those few activities that we could truely do as a
family which we often do with the
Colorado Springs Cycling Club.
His current bikes: GT Carbon Force, GT Peace 9'r, Blue RC8,
Gunnar Crosshair, Barracuda Hardtail and Cannondale Tandem.
Soon to re-building an old Viner Track Bike.
